At one point we had ambitions of creating a complete live band out of what we were doing with Longitudinal Expanse; a project that would fuse the free-wheeling improvisation of LE with a set of songs that jams could grow out of. This band was to be named Mass Transit, and these are the demos we recorded for the project.

These demos were not intended for release when we recorded them but rather as reference material should we find a drummer and keyboardist to bring on board. Obviously, that did not come to pass. Some of these tracks became springboards for many LE jams ("Ether," "A Light Problem"), while others have never before been released ("Lost Connection," "Nepal"). Hopefully they are of some interest.
